Indonesia is to resume an international trampoline championship from April 26 to 28 with around 200 athletes from 10 countries registered to take part in, the organizer said.
“The champion of the international trampoline championship this year will receive a trophy from the Indonesian sports and youth minister,” Edo, a chief organizer of the event said.
International athletes confirmed to take part in are from the United States, Germany, Japan, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Turkey.
A total reward of 120 million rupiah (US $8,487) has been allocated for athletes this year, higher than the 50 million rupiah (US $3,536) for the event last year.
A part of gymnastics, trampoline was contested for the first time in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia’s Jakarta and Palembang cities.
Indonesia has aimed to get gold medals from trampoline in the upcoming South East Asian Games slated for November this year in the Philippines.
